How has life been for you under Covid-19?

Life has been frantic.

As a university lecturer and PhD researcher life has changed from day-to-day. Plans have been endlessly made, altered and remade. Working from home is complex with the professional and the domestic in endless overlap.

What is your chosen creative activity and explain why you have chosen to do this piece

The COVID clay diary is a 90-day exploration of the personal, social and cultural effects of the developing situation. Each day a clay vessel was made which responded to the events of the day. Some are abstract message and some more literal. Many have multimedia additions and embossed messages in text. Each piece is non-functional, a standalone sculpture or object which tells an individual story of the day. Together they explore the progression of an unpredictable and precarious time which is experienced both personally and collectively.

This project had been primarily documented via Instagram as a rapid and accessible outlet for these daily thoughts, objects and ideas @angelataitartist
